The first room you enter at Poppy Cottage is the entrance hall. We
are very happy for you to leave all manner of muddy walking shoes
etc here if you wish.
The large comfy lounge downstairs is solely for your use. You will be served breakfast at the laid table in the morning but for the rest of your stay please feel free to make yourselves quite at home here. There is a television with a selection of DVDs and videos or you may just like to snuggle up on the sofa with a good book. Either way, don't feel you have to confine yourselves to your bedroom when you are not out and about. We want you to really relax and enjoy your break. In the cooler weather the lounge becomes extra snug when the open fire is lit, and will make you feel instantly at home.
Our lovely double bedded guest room is tastefully furnished with its
stripped pine furniture, the walls decorated in soft white lime wash. This is a spacious room yet it still retains incredible
cosiness. The bed is exceptionally
comfortable and of course, only the best quality cotton sheets are
used. The room has tea and coffee making facilities,
plus all the usual complementary refreshments one would expect to
find.
The
private bathroom is just across the landing and there are
freshly laundered bathrobes for your use on the back of the bedroom
door. Don't forget your complimentary
toiletries.
